FCN MoneyCoach Release Notes March 2022

fcn moneycoach release notes Apr 01, 2022

1. Enhanced ‘Alerts’ Tab - more text and icon options

In an ongoing effort to continuously improve the user experience, we have implemented some enhancements and improvements to ensure navigating and performing actions within the software is as easy as possible.

As part of these changes, we have added some additional options so that when a user selects the ‘Alerts’ icon there is now a message showing where those alert settings can be edited. This should make it easier to navigate to the settings where alerts can be enabled, disabled and modified.

2. Updated ‘Goal Progress’ Bar

To reflect the progress of client’s savings and debt reduction goals more accurately, we have updated the calculations in the goal progress bar to incorporate the starting balance of any financial accounts linked to the goal, as at the goal start date.

Previously, the progress bar calculations used a $0 starting balance regardless of goal start date or linked account balances. This update presents a more accurate reflection of goal achievement ‘progress’ and will help keep clients more motivated to achieve!

3. Show or Hide Closed Accounts Feature

For clients that have ‘Closed’ financial accounts linked to MoneyCoach (those accounts that are closed with the financial institution), we recently added a feature allowing those accounts to be ‘hidden’ in the Linked Accounts tile (located on the “My account” page).

We have now made this feature clearer and easier to use, by adding a ‘Hide’ or ‘Show’ closed accounts button on the Linked Accounts tile, making this a one-click action.

 4. Improved the error message for when a user’s email is already in use

If any user’s email address is currently, or has previously been used in MoneyCoach without being deleted, cancelled or changed, the system will not allow that email address to be used again. The error message we used to show to indicate this error was (let’s face it) not really helpful. We’ve updated this particular error message to make it much clearer as to why the user invitation is failing.

 5. Other Fixes and Enhancements

Some other fixes and enhancements that have been added over the past month are listed below – if you would like more detail on any of these, please get in touch with MoneyCoach Support or your Account Manager:

Changed the ‘Add New User’ text in the adviser dashboard to ‘Invite New User’

  • Fixed an error where ‘Possible Transfers’ were not always being recognized when using the ‘Transfer Find’ function
  • Implemented an improvement so that when a financial account is in error due to incorrect credentials, when credentials are successfully edited, the ‘Incorrect Credentials’ error is removed without having to refresh the page
  • Fixed a bug that prevented a transaction split across multiple categories
  • When viewing transactions associated with a rule you can now scroll through the affected transactions list
